Just thinking

A vibrant cornfield thrives under a clear blue sky with mountain ranges in the background.

Interesting how it went fairly unnoticed in the news that the Mexican government again is strongly urging and will help their farmers plant their fields in heritage/local/open pollinated non gmo corn crops!!? This season they have suggested what the farmers should plant to help their soils, water quality, fertilizer usage etc. They have had a constitutional amendment banning gmo corn and it’s still going on. Despite a fair trade tribunal citing no ill affects from gmo corn and also citing that the cross pollination didn’t matter or probably already happened. It’s just interesting that a government is asking farmers to do this to protect their nations people, land, heritage and culture. How many governments suggest or would do that nowadays? Anyway just noticing and reading the news around us….
